The Araçá Quartet is a brazilian group of instrumental music, with it’s roots in the Choro (typical brazilian instrumental genre).

It is formed by the following musicians: Leonardo Faria (flute), Jorge Viviani (seven strings guitar), Flávio Danza (brazilian cavaquinho - similar to ukulele) and Leo Brasileiro (pandeiro - brazilian tambourine).

This musical work has been developed through the prior experiences of these musicians, after having acted together in other different formations.

It’s repertory has emerged from a meticulous and careful research, blending their personal experiences throughout the Choro, browsing through original compositions and arranged musical themes, from the most famous to the barely unexplored.

Composers as Jacob do Bandolim, Pixinguinha, Moacir Santos, Zeca Freitas, Esmeraldino Salles, among many others, are translated from their musical perception.
